About us

Long wating times then the stress of having to hold water and urinate at a specific time in a hospital setting is incredibly hard for a lot of patients. Uroflo is a digital urflometry tool that patients can use at home, at a time that suits them.

Our clinically validated, secure and state of the art tool means patients don’t have to wait for a uroflometry appointment. The tool can be downloaded onto a smartphone or a stick to the wall device can be ordered simply and delivered to their home. Results are uploaded and sent to their healthcare provider cutting the waiting times pushing forward towards diagnosis.

One in two men will consult their doctor with Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS). Uroflometry is a test done in hospitals often prior to seeing a consultant. It measures the flow rate and volume during urination. Our vision is to provide an accessible and afforable at home digital test that will not only make patients feel more at ease but cut waiting times and therefore diagnosis and treatment.

Benefits for Healthcare Professionals

Remote LUTS Monitoring

It offers a ‘home hospital’ solution of urinary flow assessment, enabling ‘pre- hospital’ patient triaging to determine who really requires hospital assessment and who has normal urinary function and can be reassured with conservative and lifestyle measures.

Reduced Secondary care referrals

It reduces wasted in-person appointments in hospital flow clinics where patients are unable to perform a representative flow during the appointment. A digital tool would allow patients to perform a uroflowmetry test at home whenever convenient.

Better triage and prioritisation

It would enable urology departments to increase virtual consultations for patients who are frail, elderly or cannot attend in person. It will help to triage men more appropriately for assessment and see men with the poorest flows sooner.

Data security & GDPR

By linking with existing infrastructure as well as only storing and transmitting non-personal details in our system, Uroflo securely enables unblocking the bottleneck at the ‘entrance’ to the secondary urology units, by reducing both waiting times and lists and leading to cost savings on staffing and healthcare provision for Urology.

Cost savings for the NHS

Scaling patient engagement – more people can take the test without affecting clinic capacity or have clinicians in attendance.

Driving patients back to care

Patients can try the test at home to see a result and get advise on whether to seek further treatment.
